Hajj and Umrah pilgrims are not allowed to take pictures or take pictures at Masjidil Haram and Masjid Nabawi.

The prohibition is contained in the diplomatic note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.
The ministry appealed for it to be able to give counseling about it to Jemaah Haji and Umrah.

As some Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from different nationalities raise the flag of their country then shoot in the corridor of the Grand Mosque.
When rebuked and advised by the security authorities of the Grand Mosque that what was done violated the rules and instructions, some of the Jemaahs argued for mementos.

And claimed not to know there are instructions that prohibit taking pictures.

In order to avoid violations of the rules and laws by Jemaah Hajj and Umrah, and in order to respect the sanctity of the two mosques, and for the creation of an atmosphere of worship for the people inside the Haram Mosque and Nabawi Mosque, because shooting can disturb and provoke the feelings of people is in the two mosques.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia urged Jemaah Haj and Umrah to be given counseling in order not to do the deeds and affirmed to the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims about the importance of responding to instructions that prohibit taking pictures in two holy mosques with ordinary marea, television cameras, video cameras or others.

It is in order to comply with the rules and laws, appreciate the feelings of those who are in he holy mosque and do not commit vulgar acts and joking when performing worship.

It should be noted that in the event of breach of the rules, the security forces receive instructions to confiscate film shots and cameras if necessary. So hopefully it is to be obeyed.
