As an expat living and working in the Middle East, I have seen and celebrate so many Islamic holidays. Today is Isra and Mi’raj, but first to be honest, I have experienced many of them but I don’t know what do they mean, or the names mean. Simply because they are a little confusing and hard to remember by heart.
I want to take this chance to introduce you a litte bit about Islamic culture which is hightly related to their religion. So, Isra and Mi’raj as what I understand it is the day of no sadness as my wife explained It’s 27th day of the month Rajab and 7th month in the Islamic calendar. Long time ago Allah ( Islamic God) took Mohammad ( the prophet ) on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and to heaven Read more.... In that day the Prophet felt sad and the God washed his all sadness because it shouldn’t be a sad day for him.
From that story, every year, before Ramadan ( holy month of Muslim worldwide), in this holiday of Isra and Mi’raj, if you or people have any problems in your life with anybody, it’s a good chance for you to connect with them, to heal your relationships.
