Buthidaung: A delegation from town administration office arrived and forced remaining Rohingya and village administrators in Buthidaung Township to lie in the upcoming media coverage, which is expected to happen tomorrow (21st July 2018), report sources.
At 8:30 am, in Buthidaung Township two separate meetings were held by two separate delegation on 19th July, from the village administration office. There, they forced the village administrators, including remaining Rohingya to lie in the upcoming media coverage.
In the meeting, gov’t officials told the village administrators to lie that no Rohingya villages were torched by Burmese forces and no killings or rape were conducted by them.
Moreover, they threatened the Rohingya to put all the accusation on Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) for all the crimes committed by the Burmese forces.

In the meeting, Rohingya village administrators of Dar Bin Sara, Khin Tha Ma, Mee Kyaung Zay, Nga Yant Chaung were also present along with police head of Buthidaung Township.
Today, remaining Rohingya were threatened and asked to clear up the burnt and destructed villages before the media coverage tomorrow. According to locals, these are measures taken for hiding the crimes committed by Burmese gov’t forces.

Since 25th August, Burmese forces committed a mass massacre in northern Arakan (Rakhine) state, killing thousands of innocents, along with forcing out a population of more than 800, 000 Rohingya to neighboring Bangladesh.
