Maungdaw: Remaining Rohingya houses in villages of northern and southern Maungdaw have been destructed and looted under the surveillance of government authorities by the Moghs (Rakhines) on daily basis, according to reports collected from the ground on 18th June, 2018.
In collaboration with border guard police (BGP) and Moghs (Rakhine), a world food program’s storehouse was destructed and looted, along with a Rohingya’s house in Shilhali (Kyaunk Chaung) village of northern Maungdaw Township, on 18th June.

There, they demolished the storehouse completely and looted the wooden and valuable parts. They conducted similar activities in house of a Rohingya named Nurul Hussain S/O Sultan Ahmed, hailing from the same village.
"They destructed and looted every possible goods. They completely converted these structures into firewood", explains a local from the area.
After mass arson attacks and burn down of Rohingya properties and houses, few remaining houses have been targeted by the Moghs (Rakhine) to loot and destruct in almost all evacuated villages of northern and southern Maungdaw Township.

Following the ongoing situation, remaining Rohingya had to flee towards the Buthidaung Township for refuge, after forcing more than 800, 000 Rohingya towards the neighboring Bangladesh.
Similarly, on Saturday (16th June), Eid (Muslim festival) day, around 6 BGPs destructed and looted Rohingya's furniture like wooden beds and cupboards from the same village.

According to locals, BGP and Moghs (Rakhines) comes to the village on daily and weekly basis to loot the houses of the remaining Rohingya, thus worsening their ongoing starving situation.
Since decades, Arakan (Rakhine) became a mass looting zone for the Moghs (Rakhine) under the watch of government officials, in continuation of their genocidal operations on Rohingya .
