The Pilgrim Monument, Provincetown is my submission in #architecturalphotography Contest, initiated by @juliank
The Monument, built in 1907-1910, was designed, by Willard T. Sears, and based upon the Torre del Mangia in Siena, Italy, (designed by Agostino and Agnolo da Siena in 1309)

Inside, there are 60 ramps used to climb most of the way up there are 116 steps at the bottom and at the top. The interior stone walls have the names of each city and town in Massachusetts engraved. The monument is 253 feet tall, and rises 340 feet above sea level.

The monument is based in Provicetown, where the Pilgrims first came ashore in America, during the winter of their arrival, months before their landing at the famed Plymouth Rock.
