Restaurant "Oostoever" on the Sloterplas

This restaurant was built in the 70's. It is being renovated, but apparently drug-money was used for the renovation. It's unclear when it will be reopend, due to a thorough police investigation.

looks really interesting. do you know how the space in front of the restaurant was used?

Not really. I've seen it host a market once or twice. Once a year there is a "waterfestival" (it's right next to a lake). Oh, and 20 years ago it was regularly used by a large group of chinese people practicing Tai-chi. Oyher then that, it has a couple of benches whereon you can enjoy the sun and the occasional fisherman can be found here.
