NEUQUÉN, Argentina 🇦🇷

In both cases, you are asked to pay for the access to that territory, which is land of the Mapuche Curruhuinca Community and they charge the entrance to their lands. But don't worry, it will cost you $40 per person and if you go by car is a bit more expensive..

These are incredible place, where the sunsets are appreciated in a magical way. They are part of the Lanín National Park and the path is marked with a symbol that is a green and white square.

You have to walk for 2/3 hours to get to Mirador Bandurrias, but I assure you it's worth it! You will not regret it! The Mirador is located 9 km from San Martin de los Andes centre.

Continuing along that road you will arrive at a place where you can find benches and tables, to drink and eat something, while appreciating the beautiful surrounding landscape.

This viewpoint is opposite the Mirador Arrayán, so we can have a different view of the hills, the lake and San Martin de los Andes.

From there, you can see Cerro Abanico, something from the Villa de Quila Quina, La Piedra de Trompul, Cerro Vizcacha, etc.

A difference of the Mirador Arrayán, the Bandurria viewpoint, is that Bandurrias is a rock of about 800 meters high.

If you want to continue the road, you can travel the lands of the Community Curruca and their houses, their crops, animals, the small rural school and also what can be found on the road, the beaches that are there, as for example: La islita (the little island), Playa Blanca, etc.

Some of the beaches can not be accessed by vehicle, this must be left above and reach the beaches on foot

In summer, they are often offered fruits, homemade "tortas fritas" or bread to buy.

Playa Blanca is a beach that few people know, and more than anything small town in the area. You can get there by car too, but I walked, so be sure that if you go there by foot, bring some good trekking/hiking boots!
