اعتقال سباحة شهيرة بتهمة "تهريب البشر"

تهمت الشرطة اليونانية السباحة السورية #ساره_مارديني بمساعدة مهاجرين غير شرعيين على دخول البلاد، وفق ما أفاد محاميها الأربعاء مؤكدا أنها موقوفة حالياً.

واعتقلت ساره مارديني (23 عاما)، التي حصلت على حق اللجوء في ألمانيا، الأسبوع الماضي في عملية ذكرت الشرطة أنها تهدف إلى تفكيك "شبكة إجرامية" تضم 30 عضوا في منظمة غير حكومية تنشط في جزيرة #ليسبوس حيث يعيش آلاف المهاجرين في مخيمات.

وقال محاميها هاريس بيتسيكوس لوكالة فرانس برس "من الواضح بالنسبة إلي أن هذه قضية تجريم لتقديم المساعدة للاجئين"، مضيفاً أن موكلته معتقلة في سجن خارج أثينا.

Greek police have accused the Syrian swimmer, Sarah Maradini, of helping illegal immigrants enter the country, her lawyer said Wednesday.

Sarah Mardini, 23, who was granted asylum in Germany last week, was arrested in a process police said was aimed at dismantling a "criminal network" of 30 members of a non-governmental organization operating on the island of Lesbos where thousands of migrants live in camps.

"It is clear to me that this is a criminal case to provide assistance to refugees," her lawyer Harris Pitsikos told AFP, adding that his client was being held in a prison outside Athens
