Going Beyond My Comfort Zone!

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

Okay, one thing that I suck at making are flowers and leaves. No matter what, I just can't paint them! And increase the difficulty level by 3 times when it is to be done with watercolors.

But I finally did it today!

Well not really, but I googled for some of the simplest flowers and after endless scrolling finally one and that would be my shot. Also, I have been following the works of Queenie Wong a.k.a CoCo Bee, a self taught Canadian artist. I absolutely love her artworks and derive a lot of inspiration from her. Her methods gave me the required push for making this illustration.

There are a lot of mistakes (obviously), especially making the background a little greenish which I regretted after doing :P Nonetheless, I can move forward and create more of these, hopefully and maybe enjoy them more instead of fearing failure.
