Today's 'Color Challenge for Steemians' as presented by @kalemandra is Monday Red.
This week I'll showcase a series of collages based on the elements: earth, air, water and fire, as well as the seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn.
To coincide with Monday Red: Today's element is earth and the season is winter.
'You See ~ I See' as presented by @marillaanne, is the perfect format for me to be able to share this early work with you.
You See:
Four tall rectangles with one continuous landscape image across them.
A black square, with border squares of red and orange.
Seeds within a seed pod within the black square.
Crystals and stones, spiraling lines and seeds.

I See:
My first 11:11 series: Created with just a little more 'sensitivity' AFTER realizing what the significance of the 11:11 was.
Researching the colours and stones that are related to the 12 astrology signs, the elements: earth, air, water and fire, as well as the seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn.
The 3D symbol for the element Earth: Collage: Cut-out shapes. Rice paper: Hand-painted in graded shades from red to yellow.
The 11:11 symbol: Collage: Australian landscape image. Rice paper cut into curves: Hand-painted in blue, tan and black. Final image cut into four separate rectangles.
Tree of Life: Seeds. Raw silk threads.
Once the base template with the four rectangles and the square was constructed, many different arrangements were made and photographed.

The 11:11.
The 11:11 represents a ‘Gateway’ to a 'new level of consciousness' in this special era we are living in.
Seen by an increasing number of people in ‘normal’ day to day situations: As the time shown on a digital clock or mobile.
Once aware of 11:11, you will see it all the time. It has also been referred to as a 'Wake-up call' ~ A reminder to just stop for a moment and be sensitive to whatever is happening, within and without.

11:11 and my Art:
11:11 started appearing intuitively in my previous collage work BEFORE I was told about it by a friend.
But then acknowledging the power of 11:11 enabled me to play with it in a new way.
In a future post, I'll share some of the very early pieces.

11:11 and the Earth Element:
When you look at these images, what do you see now?
Your own experiences with 11:11. Or a growing curiosity about the 11:11 and other double numbers?
Perhaps a yearning to connect more deeply with the elements and seasons?
ABOUT: You See ~ I See.
'You See ~ I See' isn't a contest. However it will 'challenge' your perception.
Entering into this activity in all likelihood will transform what you may have felt was 'ordinary' in your own environment into something that becomes fresh and alive once again.
If you resonate with the concept, share one of your own 'You See ~ I See' posts with the tag #useeisee. All the details can be found in Marilla's latest post:
