College Exercise №2 of the Semester - Painting to Music [Морской Пейзаж]

in art •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hi!

In this exercise, they wanted us to choose music and draw whatever came to mind while we were listening. I share with you the result down below. I chose Keith Kenniff - Resolve and the entire album Cosmic Surgery by Neat Beats.

This is the first draft of "Drawing to Music". Something is starting to come together here for me:

This is what happened in the end after about 40 hours. I felt very strong emotions in the process: loneliness, calmness, dreaminess, pleasure, and a bit of sadness, among others. The final piece:

I call it "My Serenity", or, in Russian: "Моя Безмятежность"

I also want to take the time to invite anyone who is interested to our little brother community https://golos.io/ ! :) It's the Russian version of Steemit that released only one week ago today!

If you are interested, my account there is https://golos.io/@angsteem where I will also be uploading content!

They will start their crowdsale in only 6 days! Please support them if it is of interest to you =)

#golos #beyondbitcoin #gridcoin

Thank you!

This is really stunning, and it just earned you a new follower! EDIT: Your 100th follower in fact!! hahaha

Amazing! Thanks :)

Art that is as beautiful as the artist...
You have gained a new follower...
Keep up the great work...!!!

I appreciate it! :)

What a lovely painting from a lovely girl!
I only wish I could see the details ;D

So you started with people on the shore and then ended up with just the sea?

R.I.P. humans... :P

(your eyes are fantastic btw)

Exactly))

I guess that's why it's so serene right now. Everyone's dead :( ahahaha.

Nice concept this with the evolving painting. Maybe next time you should take snapshots or video timelapse.

Tag Spam = Using irrelevant tags, especially popular tags. Using tags improperly makes it hard to find good and relevant content.
Please use relevant tags when posting! Abusing tags can potentially lead to people flagging you, even from dan himself.

I don't see why this post is tag spamming.

Art; It's definitely art.
Painting; True to
Golos; Their group
Beyondbitcoin; The group that has been supported by this artist, and supports back when tagged. It has been sanctioned, and requested, by the main group that uses this tag. Tagging is appropriate.
Gridcoin; The group that has been supported by this artist, and supports back when tagged. It has been sanctioned, and requested, by the main group that uses this tag. Tagging is appropriate.

I think the people at @steemcleaners need to either tone down or be really read up on what they are doing here.

agreed sc. I have even usually use her art in our own beyond bitcoin hangout album covers. :)

And i have seen you guys using her gridcoin centric art for your own posts. She brings lots of value to the ecosystem with her art. I will agree to a small degree that their is no beyondbitcoin or cryptocurrency related artwork in this particular one, so perhaps that is a bit walking the line, but at the same time, she has made lots of cool art for the cryptocommunities currently supporting her.

It might be a thin line to walk, but at the same time Fuzzy (I assume is you) has talked about and encouraged others that are involved it things related to beyondbitcoin to tag it with that tag, just to make it easier for Fuzzy to find it.

At the same time, I think that if groups like steemcleaners are going around the network telling people what they should and should not do they really need to point out why they think so. Just saying "tag spamming" is not really constructive criticism. Instead saying something like "all tags are correct, except #beyondbitcoind and #gridcoin because they are cryptocurrency related; please state below why you have chosen to do this" or something in the likes.

As it is now they are just a police force trying to get people in the lines that they think are correct, and that is not god for them, the community or anyone; and I find it just a little bit annoying :)

i agree 100%. steemcleaners is a decent idea, but does feel a bit too much like an attempt to force something into a box that maybe we can't fit reality into. I personally agreed though about the flagging for tag abuse...though I must admit there is a reason why they are trying to do this.
