Reinforced concrete is a strong, durable building material that can be shaped into various sizes. Its benefits and prominence are achieved by combining the best features of concrete and steel so that when combined, the steel will provide tensile strength and some shear strength.

The reinforced concrete is only capable or strongly resisting the compressive strength of the given load.
