Simple yet beautiful. Oddly enough my grandpa loved yellow roses, so my grandma always had them in her garden. They soon became my favorite flower as well. I lost my Poppi this last summer and we did have yellow roses at his funeral. I think I loved this little short because of that connection.

Thank you for sharing that with me. I'm sorry to hear of your loss last summer. It's never easy to lose a family member, even if they lived a long, full life. I always choose to simply be grateful for the time I had with someone rather than dwell on them being taken away. That always seems to make it easier for me to deal with the loss.
