Linocut: How make pictures move

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hi all! I was not so active last week because had a short and very intense trip to Israel, the first time in my life. I will tell about it a bit later, but now I'm ready to share some latest works of mine. It will be linocut again. I'm thinking a lot about movement in 2-dimensional art. I think it's possible to make alive even if the topic or narrative is static. The mother composition helps with it.

And some photos of the process. Drawing comes first, then transparent paper.

Then come work with linoleum and cutting.

Colour mixing is the hardest part for me because it can take hours and demands specific knowledge about this particular oil colour that used for lino-print. Actual colour is a bit different from what you see in the photo.
