Fellow Steemians! I worked on this graphic yesterday with artist Michele Pred for Equal Pay Day. These U.S. dollar bills have been cut down to the average percentages of what a FULL-TIME woman makes in the UNITED STATES PER WEEK compared with a White American Man - these wage gaps are HUGE and are noticed through the Census. Although these statistics don't describe EVERY American Woman, the numbers don't lie that there are definitely systemic problems in our economic sphere. Equal Pay seems like a no-brainer, but women doing the SAME jobs, working the SAME hours suffer inequities that we see in our annual stats. These numbers came from @iwpresearch in Washington DC and are based on a week's salary for women working full-time and year-round.
One of the reasons I am so BULLISH on Cryptocurrency is that it is accessible to all - around the world - regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual, or economic status.
