It's been a while since I drew regularly so I've been going through old drawings I had after I rebuilt my PC. Now that I am in the military there's not as much time for it so I have to make the time.
I finished the recruitment scene from Blood Meridian (by Cormac McCarthy) in 2016 and it's making me smirk. I only drew it because I wanted to draw the kid hiding under a tree haha it’s not that dramatic in the actual book. I gave him an apple so he has something to do instead of just laying there and the apple can function as a tool to move the audience from one shot to another.
I can see more problems in it now that I look back at it with fresh eyes. Not just the art skill but the pacing and atmosphere as well. I am not dwelling on it, I'll go ahead and make new and better things. I have other drawings and boards, plus more stuff from Cormac McCarthy's books as well. Gonna keep going.
