Painted in my studio of a very large Aloe Vera plant.
”Aloe” 34”x30” (#647) oil on linen canvas by Lee Gordon Seebach
This painting is a bit different from what you're used to seeing from me. It's painted "tighter" and more realistically, i.e., less painterly. I painted it earlier in my career before I "loosened up" a bit in my painting style.
This plant was huge and I painted it on a large canvas to fit it all in. I set it up on a table against background cloths and make this rather careful study under beautiful north light.
I hope you enjoy seeing this painting.
More to come,
Lee

This is really easy in the eye. And captures the essence of these lovely plants :)
