Bold colors. Gotta love 'em. Watch how I layer starting with hot pink to create this roadscape in acrylics. You can also watch how awful I am with a compass (now I use stencils!) and how nitpicky I can be. I'm integrating more and more of these time-lapses into my schedule and will hopefully be turning out more and better ones. Here's my final product:
Working from home, sometimes I need to take off for a drive to clear my head. Missouri has some beautiful back roads that help me do just that. I painted this from a photo of one of my favorite spots.
I still find it fascinating how skilled painters can see the entire image from the back layer to the front. I wish i could paint like this, seemspeaceful and therapeutic. Great work, your very skilled!
