My Father´s Art: Plants (Highly Tactile)

in art •  7 years ago

Today I´ll show a few more artworks made by my father, following up from yesterday´s post

I think he's quite skilled in the "Highly Tactile" painting technique, which means using either very thick paint texture and/or thick materials superposed to paint in order to create a 3D, tactile experience.

Here is a still life example.

He's been using a range of thick materials (vegetable fibers, as well as metal) in order to get a 3D effect, so that items really stick out of the frame.

Here is another example with different materials:

and another one, where the technique is similar to the first one:

Once again, I am not an art expert, and my perception of these artworks is influenced by the the author being my father...so I´d really like to know what other people think about them.

I'm not an art expert either but I can tell you that I cannot create art like this. It's great and it takes talent. He's really good.

Nice work! I especially like the first one!
Thanks for sharing!

This is amazing talent. Your father has made beautiful and realistic art. I only dream to make something this wonderful one day. Your father must be an amazing person to learn from.

Unusually but beautiful. Excellent work!

WOW Beautiful, keep posting like that :)
I have followed and upvoted, please do the same thing for me to help each other.
Thank you so much :)

Loved your father's work. The one with multi-colored flowers is interesting to watch. Its fascinating that how the same flower represents a totally different mood. I tried to capture the love and old vibe of flowers in my post.
