In this blog I want to talk about how anyone, and everyone can utilize art therapy.
First check out my 5 minute video I made 4 years ago. It's the process of the above painting/image I created.
I've never taken any classes or such on art therapy - so this is something I kind of came up with, but I'm sure the "official" basis behind it is similar in psychology/academia.
I am one to believe that painting and drawing - no matter how "good" or "bad" you are at it can have it's benefits in health. I do appreciate and encourage people to take high art serious trying to make things exquisite, but in this that isn't what matters. What matters is the process of just "doing".
Art therapy, or Shamanic Art Therapy as I like to call it is where you use a canvas or wood or any other medium - you clear your mind and you just have fun painting.
I particularly don't feel I'm all that great of a painter, but each time go into it I progress further and further.
Here's my most recent painting that I went into using Shamanic Art Therapy...
- Here's my Steemit blog talking about the process of making this painting if you want to see ithere.
Art is a great tool to heal people on all sorts of levels. And in this space I feel everyone should give it a try.
The reason I attach "Shamanic" to my description is because I am one to believe we are all potential explorers of our minds, and in a literal shamanic context you are going into your consciousness to bring out what you seek. In this case you're trying to heal and paint whatever and whereever the mind flows. I've personally found this process is very helpful in such a stressful world.
BTW, the music in the video is of mine too. Sorry, but back then I was just beginning making videos and didn't really have the understandings on how to make them top notch.
Hope you enjoyed.
The blue one is my favorite!

Thank you @anca3drandom. Yeah the blue one I just recently made and I'm very focused and in a much deeper zone than the other which is 4 years old. Thanks for the comment!
