The little mermaid

. Just thought I'd show you guys a painting I did of the lovely little mermaid. It was one of my absolute favourite films as a child so of course once an adult it was a wonderful thing to be able to do my very own painting that looked something like her. When it comes to you're own art I'm afraid you'll never be satisfied, it's a skill you are constantly developing and tommorows work is always better than the previous works. It can be such a frustrasting task to put what you invision onto a canvas or paper, but definitely a excellent skill worth developing. You quite often see young children experiencing great frustration when drawing and harshly scribbling over or tearing up work. As much as it pains us to see this, that frustration is part of the process, instead of questioning the frustration, understand it and help teach skills to improve their abilities and encourage them to keep trying. For one day they with great persistence and many hours, tears, binned work they will of truly mastered a wonderful skill and influence the next generation of artists, Producing amazing pieces executed with such skill.
