Ocean of Madness

...every journey starts with the question for the destination. But what if you carry the destination already within you? This drawing here marks the beginning for a story about a wanderer through the vastness of the universe, on the hunt for the essence of our existance. This guy leaves behind the paths of the ordinary to conquer the mysterious. Welcome to the adventure of Nautilus Escher.

The following piece is the first of seven illustrations I made for a very special book from a friend of mine. "The search for the Quantum Grail" is a modern Jesus story about awakening and growing into the full human power and awareness. This first illustration is about the main character going out for a swim, drowning in the water and getting resurrected by a divine force...and then the story begins.
