May I share some updates with you? Yes, that's a bad Dad joke in May, just in time for Mother's Day. I obviously don't know how to start these updates, so let's just begin.
Semi-Major Exposure
This humble artist is starting to make some waves!
The first image below is for the new satire novel Killing Kardashian. The author is a TV writer who has a vendetta against the Kardashians for ruining scripted television. The book was in the tabloids at the end of April; you can read about it (and order a copy) here, or by clicking the image.
The other is for Jason Stapleton, a radio host out of Kansas City. He's an investor, forex trader, and commentator on current events with a libertarian perspective. I'm a listener and had the chance to meet him in San Diego at the end of March. He hired me to draw two caricatures to use in some of his marketing materials. Visit his website here (or click the image).
I recently landed another high profile client, but news on that will have to wait until the job is completed in June.
New Artwork
I hope you like Doctor Who! Because that's what I've been drawing. I've got three more classic Doctors to draw to complete the set. Below are the Third, Fourth, Tenth, and Eleventh Doctors.
Merch is available printed on tees, stickers, canvas, clocks, bedding, towels, rugs, iPhone cases, and much, much more. My Society6 shop has a few new options: they're now offering floor pillows, window curtains, and pillow shams in addition to all the other wonderful options. Visit my store or click the images below.
Top sellers for April 2017
My April top sellers are both repeats. First up is my cartoon of a bulldog puppy. People wanted tee shirts of this one. The other top seller was my caricature of Trey Anastasio (from Phish). He made a showing on greeting cards, mostly. Click the images to be taken to my online shops! I've got lots of merch on lots of different stuff available.
(Mother's Day is coming up soon... Just saying.)
I'd love it if you bought some artwork, but every social media like and share is appreciated, too! (Every little bit helps a starving artist.) I'm on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Please follow me for new artwork posted not daily, but regularly.
Top blog post for April 2017
From out of nowhere, my review of a Coheed and Cambria show took first place in my top blog posts. I've seen them a few times, and have written about it each time. I didn't catch them on the last tour as I had a work obligation, but hopefully I'll be able to catch them again soon. It's always a good time, and the band always gives it their all.
Custom caricatures
Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Wedding season are all just around the corner. Do you know a June bride? Caricatures of the bride and groom would make a great gift, don't you think? Click here to place an order. My rates and turnaround time are great! Check out my reviews at Thumbtack.com.
