Really nice studies. The second one from the top really grabs me. I really love the brush strokes and the color/saturation choices.

I would like to see or read more about your process. Do you ever make videos?

Thank you, art-mess.
I have been thinking about how to make oil painting videos to post online. So maybe soon?
These studies were made quickly at a weekly life drawing session I attend.
I bring oils and prepared boards and canvas and try to get something down in the few min there is in the pose. These were probably 10-15 min poses. The longest poses and there are usually 2 of them are saved till the end and they are 20 min. So it is: small format (8x10"), and rapid sketching with a brush. There is no time to think in dry media first. I lay in something for the shadow mass and then something for the light mass and then, if there is still time, deal with form. It's been a great thing to pick up speed and thrilling to be approaching the figure like this.
