She stalks the night looking for Victims to feast on. In folklore a wendigo is either a evil cannibalistic spirit with human characteristics or a human possessed by an evil cannibalistic spirit that makes them become a monster.
Either way the main characteristics the wendigo are associated with are cannibalism, insatiable greed, and murder. They are native to the Atlantic coasts of north America and Canada, where I happen to live.
