This is an example of when I make a watercolor painting, and just let it sit awhile. After studying it after it's been sitting, I came up with this idea that would work with the colors and patterns that I had established. By using scrapbook specialty paper I can add multiple dimensions in colors and textures. Cut magazine paper was also used in this piece.
The motif is fantasy. It's not a real person or a real place, but yet it becomes one when arranged in this way. You are familiar with the shapes. It became a suspended environment where just beauty and simplicity reign.
