Hello Steemians!!!
You can agree with me that almost every artist has promised a ton of people portraits at some point. This is either at free will or by force. Well, I found myself in that situation again as I had promised a friend of mine a drawing before the end of the year. Actually, I don't even remember making any exact promise but, she visited and dropped her picture, telling me to prove "I'm a man of my words". Well, I had no choice but to try to prove I'm a man of some words which I cant remember saying. But on the bright side, this is just another opportunity to improve myself in my art of pencil portraiture. I finally made the drawing today and here are the details.

The materials I used here are a charcoal pencil, graphite pencil, eraser, pelican paper, and brush.

I start by drawing out her face using a graphite pencil.

Next I the use of charcoal pencil to draw out the features of the face.

After that, I proceeded to blending with my brush. Blending with the brush requires patience but the results are superb.

I worked on the background and her shirt using light shades and black Charcoal respectively.
