Daily bicscrawl and daily haiku. Doodlings and ramblings.

in art •  7 years ago

I am taking my #bicscrawl prompt from @brokemancode who is doing a 30 day haiku challenge.

I have decided to combine the two into my own challenge.

@brokemancode is combining the art of photography and haiku.

When I get up in the morning I will read their post and interpret it's theme in my own way.

The girlbeforemirror way.

Which I admit can be a lose association.

The title of today's haiku is -

Spring

You can check out @brokemancode's lovely post and photo of pristine water here.

...and for my interpretation-

Spring

A twisted coil

Contorted tightly contained

The promise of bounce.

I have Ehlers danlos syndrome. It effects the connective tissue in my body. Among many things it makes a person bendy, or at least it does until the damage sets in.

I used to do a lot of weird party tricks with my joints.

Now they have a lot of damage and dislocate frequently. The soft tissue that holds them in place is faulty and stretchy and painful too.

Sometimes my posts will be brief because doing anything hurts.

It's not 8am yet. I have dislocated ribs and right thumb today already, and my left shoulder subluxed (partially dislocated) in my sleep.

I also literally have a bobble head that doesn't hold itself up due to instability of my spine. Sometimes I manually hold my head with my and pop my thumb in the process. I bought a spinal collar a little while ago, but it wasn't the miracle I had hoped it would be.

I am not seeking pity.

I decided to start doodling and stop waiting for a rescue. #doodleordie was born from that too.

I committed to being more transparent and real by reengaging again on steemit in a creative and positive way, in order to present a more real picture of the girl before the mirror.

I am using @brokemancode #thirtydayhaikuchallenge tag.

I also use #onehumanbasket which is the poetry curator tag for long time steemit poetry curator @robyneggs.

At first I thought you were referring to the coil of the book binding of your sketchbook. Really awesome haiku!

I would never presume to tell you how to interpret my art . Lol

I wish I could do that! Hope you got your card (It seems like a long time since I mailed!!!)

I live at the end of the earth. Neither 5he parcel or the card has arrived yet. It will. I hope you are well.

I'm ok... a little sick today, but ok!

Pretty creative art.

 Resteemed!

I say just one thing- I am happy to getting to know you a bit by bit :-)
Cheers dear ! :-)

Damn constant dislocations must be rather infuriating.
It's good that you've found something you can "lose yourself" in.

I love your creativity,
and combining 2 things you love doing ..
God I envy your willpower!
Thank you for coming upon my path so unexpectedly, you inspire me to become more open and explore my own creative mind..
I never heard of your condition before,
but you really seem to capture it well
through your Haiku & doodle.
Greetings from the other side 🤗

Just goes to show that when it comes to art interpretation, there is no wrong or right there is only sincere perception!

I wish you a day free of pain Filled with love and laughter andBOUNCE
