Materials for Ankara bag making

An old bag.

Ankara fabric.

Glue.

Knife.

Scissors.

Stage 1:We will look here at revamping a clutch bag. Get the old bag and remove the clamp gently using a knife so as not to break it for reuse again.
Scrape out every peeled parts so that the fabric can glue effectively to the bag, then even out the edges of the clutches to make it smooth.

Stage 2: Select a fabric of your choice and measure it against the bag. Make sure the fabric is enough for the bag making. Sort where the design would be on the bag and mark the dimentions on the clutches. Also leave a 5cm fabric at the edges. Then cut out the fabric as measured.

Stage 3: At this point a hot glue or a transparent all purpose glue for fabricsis sprayed on one side. Note, not to use instant adhessive for bag making. Start glueing the cut out cloth to the bag starting from the base and pull out all roughness from the surface.

Stage 4: Put back all the clamp at the edges, glue and clip them together, allow to atay for a while.

Stage 5: Apply gum inside the bag and cover it with the inner lining. This covers all the edges and makes the bag looks as good as new.
