3d Modelling Tutorial: Modo Basics part 1

Modo Basics Part 1.jpg

Last week I put out the idea of me providing video tutorials for my 3D modeller of choice, Modo. There was a great response so I have been busy recording, editing and rendering. This is the very basics, from navigation, selection and simple tool use such as move, rotate and scale. Be warned it turned out rather longer than expected - some 50 odd minutes - there was just too much to cram in. Sorry for those of you who have a deeper understanding of 3D modelling, I wanted to cater for the beginner.

If you have any questions or would like something explained further and in more detail, feel free to reply in the comments.

In the next video we will begin our first simple project - the table lamp as seen ---> HERE <---

In case you did not know when I went to play the video it said "playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner". If you did know then just ignore me lol. I think more may watch it if they can view in the post.

The extent of my 3d modelling is having logged into zbrush a handful of times. The power is awesome though, nice to even mock up layouts etc for 2d work.

ooh, thanks for the heads up, will change it

Does it work now?

Zbrush is awesome though more than a little weird. I like to have a play around sculpting with it.

Yes it works just fine now, and you have a voice that is easy on the ears!

Thank you! I was worried what I would sound like

Upvoted and resteemed, hope that help!

Thank you!
