Caricaturing Mr Bill Gates | Quotizm- Challenge round 2

in art •  6 years ago

Hello again my dear steemians, this time I want to show you my second entry to the Quotizm - Art Challenge round 2 organized by @peliken.

You may wonder why the second entry, because I tell you that this wonderful challenge tests the creativity of the participants, allowing them to make many designs based on the same idea.
For this presentation, I have decided to make a caricature of Mr. Gates, who is the person quoted for the challenge of the week, the quote reads as follows

"The future of money are digital currencies!"
-Bill Gates

I confess that this is my first caricature, or at least the first one that has his alter ego in real life, so I have tried to capture a little of Bill's essence so that it is easy to recognize.

As usual, I have started my illustration with the sketch, seeking to fit and shape the main features of Bill Gates. If we look at him, we can instantly say that his most characteristic element is his glasses, without them he would not be the same, besides that his hair always stays the same way and his smile does not expand too much.

Taking these qualities into account, it is time to define them better with the outline and then proceed to color them. Color is a common peach tone for light-skinned people, to which some lights and shadows were added to achieve a semi-realistic effect.

As for the hair, I've tried to emulate the gray on the side of his head, and we all know that this man is a little older and his body reflects it, but I wanted to give it a more youthful touch by decreasing the gray on the top of his head (you should thank me for that Bill).

The rest was to add some shadows around here, some lights over there and voila! The caricature is almost finished, but the white background it has had so far does not favor the illustration at all, so I have chosen a gray tone that makes me jump to Mr. Bill and immediately capture the attention of viewers, in addition to that can not miss his magnificent and very accurate thinking.

I hope you liked this illustration, don't forget to vote and comment, your opinion is very valuable to me.
