Hi guys! Today, I want to show you a quick design I did for the Quotizm - Art Challenge round 2 organized by @peliken.

For this second week we have been asked to represent the appointment in any way

"The future of money are digital currencies!"
-Bill Gates

This phrase is undoubtedly very accurate, since with the passage of time we have witnessed how money is getting closer and closer to us with just one click, and many platforms are adapting to this, such is the case of the wonderful community of Steemit.

That's why I've put my hands to work to represent this phrase, and I say hands, since I've literally drawn a couple of them.

The scene is quite typical, and evokes all those times when we have extended our hands to receive money (oohhh how wonderful), but this time it is not a few cents, but precisely many digital coins or as we normally know them, crypto coins.

Honestly, I have had to google the logos of many crypto, since they are so many that it is almost impossible to memorize their names and even worse their logos, and I have only drawn a minimal amount of them.

As for the illustration as such, I started as always with the sketch, then I started to define it a little better to achieve the outline. Wonderfully, this time it has not been so difficult to draw the hands (if you have ever tried to draw hands you will understand how frustrating it can be) but the practice is paying off, of course they are not a realistic pair of hands and are not very proportionate either, I have seen and drawn worse, but for this design have been perfect.

Then it's time to color this, I started with a base color, a peach tone for the hands and a yellow one for the coins, easy and fast. We should not complicate ourselves even with shadows and lights, from the base color we can define the dark light of our illustration.

In a new layer, I proceeded with the shadows and lights that I have mentioned, these I have achieved by playing a little with the chromatic circle of colors, taking cold tones for the lights and a warmer one for the shadows.

In addition to the coins I have added a little glare behind the coins, which will contrast with the background, thus giving them a greater enhancement within the composition, and if you zoom in on each coin, you will notice that in the middle of them I have put a little shine, or rather I have tried to give them that bounce of light characteristic of metal surfaces.
