It’s All about Art 4 – Pieces of Art at Tate Modern London

This the second and last post about my visit at Tate Modern London. I will show you some striking pieces of art from the collections of the Gallery and some notes from the curators and yours truly.

The exhibition is called Artists Rooms and showcases the works of 40 major artists.

Influential American Artist Bruce Nauman challenges conventions of art , creating works that can be funny, absurd or even disturbing.

The semi-concealed messages in these works often convey a sense of violence, pain or aggression.

A cast scurplture.

Los Moscos is a large scale collage created at 2004 and made of materials found by artist Mark Bradford on the streets around his studio in Los Amgeles, USA.

Matter will return to a state of less order unless you provide the system with energy. The same goes for a piece of art made of cooked cous-cous.

Babette Mangolte challenges the way how to look things.

Art can be created by everyday objects and define space in a unique and thought provoking way.

After wandering around the vast spaces of Tate Modern you get a little bit hungry.

And you could use a Bourrito. I have to admit that it wasn’t a piece of art, but it was good enough to provide the energy needed to continue my day.
