A beautiful skirt for a young child. - Open Invitation to Crafters - #NeedleworkMonday

Our initiative founder, @crosheille, created this community to "spread needlework art and get it displayed." She's onto something here, and this is a great opportunity for those of us who love the seemingly lost arts associated with needlework to share our gifts. 

The terms of participation.

My client asked me to sew a skirt for granddaughter for the holiday. I did not see the child and therefore sewed at random. The result was very good, and the client was satisfied.

For sewing such a skirt I needed:

• gabardine white
• white tulle
• elastic band for clothes

I cut out a white strip of gabardine, equal the girth of the child's hips. I worked the edges of the fabric with an overlock and marked a strip with a pencil, where I would sew the frill from the net.

From the net, I cut out strips equal to the length of the frill. I stitched these strips with a parallel seam for assembly and when I assembled Fatin.

   I assimilated Fatin to a prepared strip of gabardine. So I sewed two tiers of assemblies. I doubled my skirt and sewed it in a ring. At the belt of the product, I made a kuliska and held out an elastic band.
