So many questions to be asked that you did not explain:

This is a character I am currently working on for an animation

What animation? For internet video? A website? TV? For what (without giving specific details -- be general)

He waits in the pond for a ripple and he surfs it all day.

Because..... ?

We do not have a name for him yet.

Why does he need a name? Why is it important? Is he going to be seen many times?

Who drew the character? You? What software are you using?

I can think about 50 different things you could have said to expand this story to make it more interesting and engaging.

Unfortunately most people like to spend 5 minutes uploading a photo or a video.. write 3-4 sentences and sit back and wait for votes.

If you have talent like this... please do what other people are not doing...

Write an engaging backstory to it.. make it a real blog post.
