Art as a collectible for its pleasing aesthetic value is what I involve myself in.I however I’m not elite or rich which means that having such an interest is extremely difficult for me.The main challenge I face is in the fact that the industry is overflowed with auction houses and galleries whose business models seem not to change at all over the years.There is also a lack of access to a variety of art on the internet. Upcoming artists who are dripping in talent often find it difficult to showcase their work on the internet. This affects both them and a person like me.
Another issue which has always been a challenge is buying art from artists who are located across borders. The process is cumbersome as I have to use the wire transfer method, which usually takes around five working days. I don’t want to have to wait that long to get my hands on a piece of art for my collection. Artpro which has integrated blockchain technology will especially solve this issue due to the fast nature of the technology.
Its always been hard for me to trust the fee calculations over and above the cost of the particular art I am purchasing. The numerous middlemen involved making me question whether there are hidden costs that I am not aware of. The decentralized nature of Artpro will eliminate the need for such intermediaries which will, in turn, remove unnecessary fees that I have to pay to auction houses and galleries.

The provenance of art usually provides a trail of documentation which supports the origins, ownership, and authenticity of a piece with verified and traceable information from credible sources. Certificates of authentication of some of the world’s most famous pieces have often been lost, destroyed or stolen and records of provenance tampered with. This leads to fraudulent and suspicious records of ownership and worth.

Blockchain can easily guarantee that digital records will remain immutable, but the data is of no value if the information on it cannot be trusted. To make sure a blockchain provenance record is accurate, the oracle must guarantee the identity of the owner/seller, the authenticity of the piece of art in question and that the artwork transacted is similar to the price indicated on the blockchain.
Token utility.
The platform has its very own native ERC-20 compliant token (APT) which will operate on the Ethereum network. Ethereum is the most efficient due to its strong ecosystem of developers and the products supported, such as compatible wallets and exchanges.
