Black Panther Superhero with Super Statement

This Black Panther coin art that I drew contains the inscription "Wear no crown, yet carry the burden of a king."

That inspiring phrase is loosely derived from an actual superhero comics quote that the Black Panther said to Daredevil in one of the Marvel comics. The coin's inscription is the way we all should live. In other words, we should not be prideful and think we are better than anyone else; however, we should take personal responsibility for justice and benevolence as much as it is in our power to do so. This is how I choose to live.

This Black Panther coin drawing also fits well within my ongoing new art series that covers drawings and photos of objects (things) that have some sort of a face on them. Many coins have the image of a face on them, so I drew my own Marvel Comics-inspired coin. Jack Kirby, one of the most famous (and best) cartoonists of all time, was definitely one of my main influences for this coin drawing. The way he drew Black Panther faces in the comics of old are classic, epic, and heroic.

Regarding the connection between coins and faces, I would guess that the majority of all circulated coins in the world have some sort of face on at least one side of them. But my hope is that we will all face the message behind my coin inscription here and take it to heart. The Black Panther would be pleased too!
