As I'm still finishing coloring on the latest page of my comic (above a quick video), I'd like to talk today about... Fan Art!
I must say it's always an incredible feeling to receive fan art when it's about the content you're producing. Since it takes so much time, it means the person really connected with the characters and was somehow inspired by your content.
I was lucky to receive, through contests and exchanges, many illustrations over the year.
I shared them all through my website since the beginning. I like to go back and watch them all when I have time. It really makes me happy to see various interpretations of my characters. Kind of like variant covers of a comic in a way... Since most of these are pieces from active artists, links would take you to their work. Say hello from me if you check them out!
With this Fundition campaign, I think it would be fun to organise a fan art contest! Maybe Sbd to win, and most of all, a chance to be printed in the book! Tell me what you think of the idea. I would only hope enough people participate. I'll work the details out for a later update. ;-)

Man, I was just thinking of doing something similar for my campaign. I'd love to see some fan art of my characters! Unfortunately I don't have nearly as much stuff for folks to reference, so it probably won't be for a bit. I'll be looking out for your contest though. I'd definitely chip in!

Oh that would be a great event on your project too. Maybe a couple months down the line! I had this idea from Jason Brubaker's Kickstarter campaigns. I was actually the first one to send art for Sithrah! If I find a way to promote the contest, I'll surely follow through with it. ;-)
