Here are some of the eight wonders of the world, amazing modern architecture and awe inspiring pics from long ago. Enjoy.
The Kaaba: The Kaaba, also referred as al-ka`bah al-musharrafah (The Holy Kaaba), is a building at the center of Islam's most sacred mosque, that is Al-Masjid Al-Ḥarām. Wherever they are in the world, Muslims are expected to face the Kaaba when performing salat (prayer). From any point in the world, the direction facing the Kaaba is called the qibla.
Taj Mahal, Agra, India.
This is a building that I've heard so much about, it is one of the most popular things i know about India since I was a young boy. I'd love to see it live one day😍Moai, Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Polynesia.
I first saw this when I was surfing the web with a friend, we we're astonished by the creativity and it's definitely worth a mention.Eiffel Tower, Paris, France.
Since a young age, when someone mentions Paris to me, I remember it through the pic of Eiffel 🗼 stuck in my head. Most people probably knows this one before, was still worth a mention though.Great Wall of China, China.
Initially built out of rocks and mud, 16th-century Emperor Jiajing developed the Great Wall into a formidable stone dragon. Millions of workers were recruited from the army or press-ganged into signing up, and worked around the clock, extending the wall and constructing the forts.Angkor Wat, Cambodia
A traveller’s first glimpse of Angkor Wat, the ultimate expression of Khmer genius, is sure to astonish. This empire of temples for a city of 1 million people took more than 300,000 workers just 35 years to build (with the help of 6000 elephants). Truly astonishing.Stonehenge, England
Stonehenge is still one of Britain's great archaeological mysteries. Most people split the construction between aliens, druids and everyone in between that 😁. What do you think.
- Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt
The Great Pyramid of Giza remained the world's tallest building for 4000 years. I would definitely love to see it. Would you?
What do you think about them.
