lovely sketches as always! and this couldnt be more true. i also like how you depict the polarization. i actually make a lot of sketches of half-drawn faces that have a similar nature to this - although instead of polarization being the theme its often because i find beauty in the art of symmetry - and that symmetry allows our imagination to complete the rest of the image. its an imagined reality :)

Hey, thanks so much! I love drawing faces, and it’s not until after that I often find deeper meaning in it, or can Interprete the image in a different way. The desire for symmetry definitely allows us to complete the image in our imagination which is really cool :) gonna loom out for your drawings.

If love to see more process pics, did you start with a full face then divide one side? Do you start with the eyes to make sure they are what you want before moving on to other features?

Hey! I’ll definitely keep that in mind for the future, sometimes I forget to take process shots, but they are really nice to have. I always do the eyes first, the face as a whole and the details after, then finally the colour. I often just let my imagination go and then the meaning of it comes to me after :)
