Making Crafts

in art •  6 years ago

We got nothing much to do today and I see some scraps of construction and art paper from a previous school project that my son had. I thought a quick arts and crafts session would be nice with the kids and use these left over materials instead of throwing them away.

We needed a pair of scissors, a pencil, glue and the colored scraps of paper. At this stage we knew exactly what to create and so we started shaping the pieces of paper into what looks like feathers. By now you should have an idea what we are working on.

After we were done cutting the pieces of paper into feather like shapes, we lined them side by side with alternating colors. It is up to you how you would arrange them. Then we glued each feather on to a cardboard that will form as the head band.

Glue both ends of the head band together or secure them tightly with a masking tape or staple wires to form a circle. This is the finish product.

hope you like it

Ahh good old construction paper. I still kind of remember the smell of it!

That made me smile. Yes certain things bring back memories. Thanks for dropping by
