This piece is titled after a song by the band A Silver mt. Zion.
the album which the song is from was made in the memory and dedication to the artist's dog who died.
this might sound like a trivial topic of melancholy, but there is a tremendously powerful and nearly unspeakable bond we have with the animals we share our lives with. The thought a being who has put so must trust and faith into you, being lost in some dark void alone and afraid, waiting for their human who's never going to come home.
its just a thought. a picture.
but with the tremendous grief of that thought there is a light born, a prayer.
and in that silent place of tremendous space, where even more tremendous feelings might well up in your heart, never to be heard or felt across the vast distance between us now.
With what little power. my meager yet might soul summons for you 13 angels standing guard ‘round bed while you rest.
