“BLOOM”

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

I feel like this piece should be called “bloom” the reason why is because in this year that has almost past, I’ve been through so much and that alone is enough to make someone “bloom” into a new self.
Growth is not always easy. It’s actually quite painful. Especially spiritual growth. The continuous and further death of the ego comes in waves like a spiral. Like a fractal that’s always repeating itself until the lessons associated with it are recognized and learned. Enabling the growth to take place.
Only once the lessons have been learned can we let go once the pattern repeats itself once again. Using it as fuel for the fire of inspiration and transformation! 💜🌺

Blue-eyed, pure white cats are frequently deaf.

Haha I knew that! So many people don’t tho... I learned this knowledge when I worked at the SPCA when I was in high school! ☺️

The ability of a cat to find its way home is called “psi-traveling.” Experts think cats either use the angle of the sunlight to find their way or that cats have magnetized cells in their brains that act as compasses.

Cool! I didn’t know that tho! 😉👍

The term “puss” is the root of the principal word for “cat” in the Romanian term pisica and the root of secondary words in Lithuanian (puz) and Low German puus. Some scholars suggest that “puss” could be imitative of the hissing sound used to get a cat’s attention. As a slang word for the female pudenda, it could be associated with the connotation of a cat being soft, warm, and fuzzy.

A very beautiful piece! I really admire this type of geometric art and it's the perfect symbol for growth and transformation. The death of the ego and entering through window of the infinite. I never really understood its significance until now so thanks for putting it in perspective through your post and letting me know about it too!

I see this type of geometric art a lot in Islamic culture too. Like on the walls of mosques, or paintings, ceramics, carpets, etc. In fact, a book i was reading not too long ago called "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam" by Muhammad Iqbal has a very beautiful geometric drawing like this on its cover. Would definitely recommend looking into some Islamic geometric art for your inspiration.

Love your cat, Sabirah! :)

Thank you @baigmusic ☺️ I’ll take a look at some Islamic art now! That’s such a good idea! I find art from different cultures so beautiful! I actually get a lot of my inspiration from others who share the same passion in other places of the world!

Sabirah is my lil love!
