Un monaco sulla montagna innevata - Speed painting
Tecnica: speed painting digitale con Adobe Photoshop. Realizzato in circa 30 minuti.
Amo le montagne e amo dipingerle. I pattern che la neve disegna sulla loro superficie sono estremamente grafici e divertenti da dipingere con i pennelli. Scorgere le forme della montagna dietro la nebbia aggiunge fascino al paesaggio e rende interessante la composizione.
Il motivo per cui ho inserito il monaco arancione è quello di attirare l'attenzione dello spettatore e introdurre un tocco di colore accattivante nella scena. Dopo tutto è facile far spiccare il colore a contrasto con una montagna grigiastra!
A monk on the snowy mountain - Speed painting
Technique: digital speed painting with Adobe Photoshop. Done in about 30 minutes.
I love mountains and i love painting mountains. The patterns that the snow draws on the surface of mountains are extremely graphic and fun to do with shape brushes. Catching glimps of the mountain shape behind the clouds adds some fascination to the scenery and makes composition interesting.
The reason i painted an orange monk was to draw the attention of the viewer and add some catchy color to the scene. It's easy to add some color to a greyish/white mountain, after all!
Non avevo una direzione precisa, ma volevo una montagna con un lato al sole e uno in ombra. Ho cominciato a mettere giù pennellate di pennelli texture e flat, tenendo in mente la mia idea.
I did not have a specific direction, but I wanted a mountain with a part in the light and one in the shade. I put down brushstrokes with textured and flat brushes, keeping my idea in mind.
Ho continuato a mettere texture per scolpire la montagna.
I continued with texturing to sculpt the mountain further.
Per non riempire troppo la scena, ho creato un vuoto inserendo nebbia e nuvole. Solamente la vetta della montagna spunta in alto, secondo la regola dei terzi per creare una buona composizione (punta della montagna in alto a sinistra e altro punto di interesse che inserirò in basso a destra).
For the scene not to be too crowded, I created some empty space by inserting fog and clouds. Only the top of the mountain appears from behind, according to the rule of thirds to create a good composition (the peak in the upper left and another point of interest I will paint in the bottom right).
Come ultimi dettagli ho aggiunto fiocchi di neve e un personaggio di un colore opposto allo sfondo, sempre secondo la regola dei terzi come anticipato nello step precedente.
As final details I added snowflakes and a character of a color opposite to the background, also according to the rule of thirds as anticipated in the previous step.
