The friendship between Megapioneer and Bert Monroe began in the early 60s, by correspondence, then Megapioneer, under the influence of Ivan Motorov got carried away by motorcycles, read a lot about them and together with Motorov even planned to take part in motorcycle races. Later, at the invitation of Megapioneer, Bert Monroe came to high-speed races on Lake Baskunchak in 1965, in the 66th and 67th years. The last time he came to the USSR at the invitation of the DOSAAF Committee in 1972, the resumption of ice races on the lake Baikal.
