Wow! The detail and shading in this image is superb. It reminds me somehow of the artwork of Terry Gilliam and MC Escher. Would like to read about your influences if you'd care to share them with us

Thank you for your kind comment. The biggest influence in my youth was most likely Max Ernst. I was so impressed with his "Temptation of St. Anthony", when I first saw it as an 8-year old, that I wanted to paint like that too... of course later it became most important to develop my own style... hope to see something on your blog soon!
