This one will be used as reference for my next drawing tutorial. I am continuing my practice of working on the female form and posture/posing.

How it begins

Like I said in my daily drawing tutorial #2 - ROUGH IS GOOD. Start rough, add details later. So here was where things were after a few seconds to just quickly throw down (light) pencil to establish shape and form.

Adding form

Here what I've done is taken that vague sketch and put in the hardest lines, the most sure pieces of structure. You note I dont really finalize hard details like fingers or toes. Even the eyes and face and hair is mostly a shape or totally blank.

Calling focus

Typically the face is the focus of drawings of people. So here i've gone ahead and added some shadows and features now that the surrounding form is established. I further tighten up details moving out from the face.

More details locked in

Moving out from the face, I add shading to the limbs. If you have followed my drawing tutorials you will notice some of the shading patterns used there to establish depth. Here we have a model to work from, so I use those shadows. Still the connection should be pretty clear where there is the highlight gap in many areas - shading doesn't actually reach the outline fully.

Face is finalized

I finish up the fine details and tighten up the face. Since it's the focus, the features should be the most crisp and clear of the rest of the drawing.

Final image

This is the final sketch. I added some final shadows to the formarm and made a few lines more crisp and clean. The full thing took ~45 minutes including taking the photos.

Looks dope... Keep working!

I don't know how I've missed these, but I'm glad I'm seeing it now. I've never had much in the way of drawing ability myself, but I think I'll give one of these a shot

yay! If you post your work as comments then I can respond. Feel free to also post it as a story but if you comment I'll definitely see it.

Whatever you do, don't give up! Just give me 30min a day and you'll be drawing great really fast!

Now this is how a great art looks like. Very nice @rampant.

Thank you @the-future :D
