A difference in lighting

I painted this when I was upset.... I was angry, I was dissapointed, I was so very sad. I didnt want bright cheery colors or a sunny picture. I was after a deep dark moody picture that would mirror my mood. Painting in my 100 year old house, I got just what I wanted.

The next day, I took it outside to look at it in the sun. I was feeling better and the painting showed little highlights of color that I didnt remember putting in. Lighter greens in the grass, bright blue in some spots in the sky.

Its amazing what a difference in lighting... or a difference a day can make in what we see and feel. I just might keep this painting as a reminder of that.
