Hydro-dipping enamel paints has got to be one of the most satisfying artistic experiences available, IMO. I am truly amazed at the results each time; and never know for sure what I can expect, except that I will have captured the beauty of physical forces and nature in some fashion. I love how most of the effect is achieved by these forces by default, and as an artist I am exercising much less control, effort, and dominance to achieve a certain effect. My job is to select the best colors and fine tune the many variables such as the water mix, different paints and colors, ambient temperature, wind, sunlight, and humidity conditions, etc., to make subtle or significant changes in how the process unfolds.
