Well hey there! Do you have a restless mind? Is it full of chaos? Does it do it's own thing whether you want it to or not? I thought today i would discuss the restless mind, and just how much craziness it can bring to a persons life! Now hold on Rob, are you saying that your mind is not under your control? Well yes actually! Now i am not so sure if this is how it works for most, but i can definitely vouch for every writer, artist, or just about any creative person that i have ever met. So tell me, are you possessing of a restless mind? Does it never shut up? Can the simple act of taking a shower be more like a mental journey, one whose destination is always a surprise? Is it because i am autistic? I think i remember reading that autistic minds are more active than most.

What are your experiences in this domain? I am always super interested to hear from others who, for lack of a better term, have "abnormal" brains.

4rm my experiences, I believe the mind is controlled by yourself and you are the one who needs to figure it out in terms of discipline ;)
The mind can get l0st if you allow it which is why we have killers and such...

Well, the restlessness of which i speak is more of a beneficial type...well for the most part. As i mentioned, for some they can easily get lost in their own thoughts. But most creative people that i have met seem to share this trait with me. As for killers and such, i think they are lacking a part of the brain that allows them to feel empathy, so they just..err...don't give a fuck? Ya i guess that is the best way to put it hehehe.

0k I see what y0u are saying, i am still waking up;) I'm a creative person myself and I know how exhausting it can be. Music alone@times is overwhelming, so many thoughts(ideas).

Ya it is sorta two sided, there is both good and bad elements to it. Like when you can't sleep because u keep thinking of new ideas for music or whatever. Or when you can't properly have a conversation with someone because your head is just not into it, because you are thinking about dinosaurs or something :)

Yep. I just let it do its thing. But I guess the "I" saying that is just another part of the same brain. It's funny how some parts of me seem under my control and others don't. But what a nightmare it would be if I had to constantly pay attention and try to keep every part under control.

Does it make things difficult sometimes? I am often at a disadvantage because of this. It is a bit like thought pinball, which can be disorienting, and downright confusing.

It sometimes makes sleep difficult. But normally I'm fine. Do you meditate or do anything to circulate the energy from your brain to the rest of your body?

Lots of stuff, but i always have an excess of mental energy to expend. It is very annoying at times, and yes it also causes sleep issues. Anxiety meds help, but it is like a toddler trying to fight superman :p

Mine never stops at times it drains me, I want to shout shut up or stop but people may think I'm a little mad :)

Yes exactly! And whats worse is when the random thoughts come out as words, and people have a hard time keeping up with what you are saying. So often i feel like i need to shut up or people will shut down! AT other times, i can barely follow what other people are saying, because i am too busy thinking about other stuff, and i also feel like i need to say that stuff or i might forget it...

Iam the same plus when I start talking everything comes out at once I speak far to fast lol
